The final document.

All is almost done! The second document will follow shortly. :)

It’s been a long battle but our skilful physicist and the team have been working hard and all calculations are coming along.

We have approximately two more hours until the very end of this project. As the final deadline approaches, our trustworthy time measurer, Laura, is getting ready to collect all sign-up sheets in K-, A-, and E-building. After we have all of them gathered in one place, we're going to calculate what the power output is for the respective appliance in the amount of time it has been used for in the past 24 hours. This we're going to calculate with the help of the data we collected and then converted yesterday. With the help of those numbers, we're going to estimate also the rest of the school. Thereafter, we're going to add all the numbers up and call it a rough estimate.

We have also shared this data with other groups.

Our handy physicist, Rayan, has converted all the units now! Woohoo :)

This is the information that we're going to be using for the kitchen. We are collaboratively working with other groups so that we do not disturb the kitchen staff too much.

Now, we have successfully put up sign up sheets all over E-, A-, and K-building. Since the morning we have also expanded the area measured a little bit, hence the change in the initial plan.

We met in lower kantina at 10:30 but Rayan was taking a dump so we had to wait until 11:00 for him to show up. So far we know that three of us are taking only ESS, Gizelda takes Biology and Rayan Physics.

Rayan suggested that we should make a survey of energy consumption in E-building. Electrical appliances usually have the maximum power output measured in kWh on the back. After we have collected data there we calculate the average energy consumption per day. Assuming that today is an average day, we will conduct our survey. The survey will be posted on Facebook and sent out by mail, in order to make sure everyone is aware of the fact we are collecting data and can be more conscious about the appliances they use and the amount of time they use them for.
I suggested that we put up sign up sheets on doors in E-building where people enter information about when they enter the classrooms and when they leave, plus their names. The appliances measured will be the lights, heaters, and ventilation. Once we get the data we add them all up inside brackets and multiply them by the number of hours they are used for.
